Homeschooling with a Wide Age Gap | Episode 227
How do you approach homeschooling with a wide age gap in your family?
A unique experience of having a wide age gap is that parents have a chance to evaluate what they did in the past and make changes with younger kids.
In this episode, Carole Joy Seid and Rachel Winchester talk with Rachel Reeves about homeschooling with a wide age gap.
Rachel Reeves has four children. Her oldest daughter will soon graduate high school around the same time her youngest is school age. Rachel shares what she has learned along the way in her homeschooling journey.
We discuss the benefits and experiences of having multiple children with a wide array of ages. Even though the world at large does not appreciate children, God calls children a blessing. As we receive them as gifts into our lives, we experience great blessing!
From the unifying effect of a late-in-life caboose baby to the importance of taking a relaxed approach to education, Rachel shares her wisdom on prioritizing family, self-teaching, and the invaluable contributions of siblings to a child’s upbringing.
